Dale Tuvey (dalet@wsha.org)

Dale has over thirty years of experience in unemployment compensation. He worked for the Employment Security Department for twelve years—first making eligibility determinations and working the last ten years supervising and managing the adjudicators making those determinations. He began working for the Public Hospital District Unemployment Compensation Trust and United Claims Management in 1982 as a Senior Account Manager, and has been Chief Executive Officer and Director of the program since 1990.

Dale is a member and past president of the Allied Hospital Association Unemployment Compensation Group, a member and past vice-chair of the Association of Washington Business Unemployment Compensation Committee, a member of UWC, Inc., a consultant member of the Washington State Healthcare Human Resources Association, a past member of the Washington State Job Service Center Employer Committee, a presenter at JSEC employer workshops on unemployment compensation, and past member of the Washington State Legislature's Joint Select Committee on Unemployment Compensation representing direct reimbursable employers.

Joy is the Claims Representative for the unemployment compensation program at United Claims Management. She has five years’ experience in unemployment law. She also has a broad background in various facets of human resources, public relations, and small business entrepreneurship.

Joy holds a degree in business administration from Western Washington University and is a consultant member of the Washington State Healthcare Human Resources Association.

Tara Ross works as the Placement Specialist for United Claims Management. She has over 18 years experience in the employment staffing industry. Her credentials include management, recruiting, marketing, employee training, and in the past, creating contingency and full time staffing plans for major corporations and industries in the Seattle area.

Placement-
Provides customized job searches for a diversified unemployed claimant pool throughout the state of Washington, to secure employment in their field.
Assists Nurses, Therapists, Patient Service Reps, CN-A’s, Managers, Technical Support Specialists, Housekeepers, clerical, administrative, and various other occupations. Assists claimants to identify appropriate job opportunities, consider related or alternate careers, and receive labor market information. Provides help in developing job search strategies. Provides claimant with assistance in improving interviewing skills, updating and editing resumes. Assists claimants throughout their unemployment to assure a successful return to the workforce.

Database Source-
Provides hospitals in the trust and other hospitals in the state of Washington a resource for recruiting potential job applicants.

Program Management-
Reporting methodology identifies savings to the trust when claimants successfully return to work.
